PLASTIC vs METAL Vehicle Registration Plates

We recommend plastic plates (here). We have found that plastic plates are easier to fit, which is important to our customers and keep clean and are harder to modify or vandalise(eg: the middle of an "0" can be easily pealed from a metal plate). Metal plates do not use self adhesive pads.

We also do the small square plates used by Japanese imported cars, these are available here only in plastic.

LEGAL STUFF:

The standard Irish number plate is 00 - ZZ -00000 where ZZ is one of the following letter sequences. To pass the NCT your registration plate must include the Blue EU logo with IRL and printed in black the number along with the county/ authority name in Irish at the top of the plate.
